Cortijo de la Mona

Stately home with a tobacco dryhouse dating from the eighteenth century in the valley of Granada, with a typical Castilian style construction and many possibilities to invest and restore this magnificent and unique property. 15 minutes from the center of Granada.

The construction of the house was commissioned by Don Francisco Carrasco and Montero de la Torre and Gomez, Minister of the Supreme Council of Castile and was carried out on an old Arab building, going from being called Cortijo de Lori to what is known today, Cortijo de la Mona.

Later with the growth of the tobacco industry in the first third of the twentieth century a tobacco dryhouse was built, considered unique in the valley of Granada for its architectural features, designed by the architect Ángel Casas responsible for constructions such as the bullring of Granada, contributing its personal touch to this particular construction.

The building distributed over two floors has an area of 1678 m2, of which 214 m2 correspond to the house, which has typical finishes of the time, clay floors cooked in the sun, handcrafted in noble wood, fireplace castellana ... giving that touch which makes this property a special building.

Without a doubt a fantastic investment opportunity with multiple possibilities when it comes to restoring and refurbishing the complex.
